The Department of Psychology is pleased to invite you to Trieste to participate to the XIII Trieste Symposium on Perception and Cognition, the 13th Kanizsa Memorial Lecture, and to enjoy the cultural and natural environment of Trieste.

The conference will bring together scientists interested in different areas of cognitive psychology, focussing on the most relevant topics and issues within recent theoretical and methodological advances of Cognitive Psychology with particular reference to general and developmental issues. The conference welcomes any contributions in the area of Cognitive psychology.

Workshop on Modes of Representation
The conference will be accompanied by a Workshop. Specialists will present the advances in different areas with respect to the way in which representation is thought of.

GUIDELINES FOR THE SUBMISSION OF ABSTRACTS

• Presentations
  There will be space for 10-12 oral presentations only. Presentations will be selected based on the timing of submission as well the general interest of the topic. Each participant will have 15-20 minutes to present his/her paper, including discussion.
• Posters
  Submitted posters will be grouped thematically and displayed for two hours. A surface of 100 cm x 140 cm will be available for each poster. Posters should be readable from a distance of two meters.
